Signatures

The signature procedure consists of some signs (hence the name) performed with hands or specific objects, directly on the part of the body affected by the ailment.

The signs are also associated with some formulas, specific for various diseases.

The signatures, according to tradition, can be aimed at people, animals, or even cultivated land affected by crop pests.

The practice of signatures reflects the strong influence of Catholic religious culture. This is shown in the pronounced formulas, in which the main characters of this religion almost always appear.

The best known signature is the one against the shingles disease. However, signatures are also used for other physical problems - sunburn, sprains, mycosis and warts are just a few examples.
